Goshen High School Athletics

In the first round of the sectional tournament, the Goshen varsity boys soccer team defeated Northridge High School in a penalty shootout (5-4) after regulation/overtime ended 1-1.  The Redhawk goal was scored by Fabricio Hernandez. Chino Torres provided the assist. Penalty kicks were scored by Rey Rodriguez, Chino Torres, Brandon Alvarez Ramos, Ignacio Lopez Jr., and Irvyn Arellano. Trenton Clark made a huge save on the fourth penalty to help seal the win. Goshen's record now stands at 15-1-1. The RedHawks are back in action on Wednesday for a sectional semifinal matchup against Penn. The game will be played at Northridge High School with a start time of 5:00pm.
