Goshen High School Athletics

Goshen defeated Warsaw tonight by a score of 19-9. Abi Blankenship was credited her first varsity victory in the circle while striking out 5 batters. The RedHawks scattered 17 hits in the game. Ryen Yoder, Tyra Marcum, Meredith Fry, Jenna Roll, and Sara Stansbury all managed multiple hits in the game. Tyra Marcum also broke the single-season home run record tonight totaling 9 home runs. Natalie Newell previously held the record with 7 in a season. Tonight, Marcum hit 3 home runs driving in 8 runs on the evening. Goshen is now 4-3 in the NLC and 8-7 overall. The RedHawks have a quick turnaround and travel to Wawasee Saturday evening with a 5:30 pm first pitch.
