The Goshen Baseball team opened their 2025 campaign with a 7-0 loss to the Elkhart Lions. Kyan Miller took the loss on the mound for the RedHawks going 3 innings on the mound, giving up 6 runs (3 earned), 1 walk, and 4 strikeouts. Elkhart jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first inning after a single from Elkhart's Greg Guest. Elkhart piled on 2 more runs in the second inning when Quinn Rost had a 2 RBI single to extend the Lions lead to 5-0. The RedHawks struggled to string together much offense but had a good showing from Freshman Jaxon Miller and Spencer Elliott who each collected their first high school hits on the evening. Braxton Cline and Karter Marcum each tallied a hit for the RedHawks as well. The young season will take a brief break for Spring Break and the RedHawks will return to action on Tuesday April 15 when they travel to Baugo to take on the Jimtown Jimmies at 5:30pm.
